These Days, January

January 2016 was the perfect mix of snowy days stuck inside, randomly warm days spent celebrating outside, fun with Tiki, swim meets and basketball, crafts and games, visitors and adventures, hip hop and dress-up. For Bea, she also really started to learn to read and letters started exploding into words everywhere! So fun to watch that develop. Here's January in pictures...

Josephine was clearing branches to make way for "our secret land." Beatrice was using the patch of woods for a dramatic reenactment of something, complete with a super emotionally intense song. They busted me recording. And giggled. Then promptly went right back to what they were doing. These two are just the best. Life is good. 💕

So Josie comes home from school today to proudly announce "Mom, we picked out biographies for our next book projects. About 11 out of 20 kids picked Einstein. That's waaaaay too many Einsteins. I was going to pick King Tut but baaaad idea. Impossible project because we don't know nearly enough about his real life to even answer half of the project questions. So you know what I did? I picked Bob Dylan."
