This Moment: Crib Edition

Today has been spent separating the girls' shared bedroom into two separate ones. It was time - for both of them & they're both overjoyed. When her new furniture arrives in the coming weeks, Josephine will officially move out. But the big change is happening now. It didn't hit me until I walked in and saw this--Lou dissembling Josie's now former bed that was actually once her crib. It feels like five minutes ago that I walked into a room and was overwhelmed by tears when I saw Lou putting our first born's crib together. And now, nearly 9 years later, I'm moved to tears walking in to find it in pieces. 💕

These Days, January

January 2016 was the perfect mix of snowy days stuck inside, randomly warm days spent celebrating outside, fun with Tiki, swim meets and basketball, crafts and games, visitors and adventures, hip hop and dress-up. For Bea, she also really started to learn to read and letters started exploding into words everywhere! So fun to watch that develop. Here's January in pictures...

Josephine was clearing branches to make way for "our secret land." Beatrice was using the patch of woods for a dramatic reenactment of something, complete with a super emotionally intense song. They busted me recording. And giggled. Then promptly went right back to what they were doing. These two are just the best. Life is good. 💕
